Attorney Eldridge Achieves Recertification with the National Board of Trial Advocacy
We are pleased to announce that our firm’s managing partner, Attorney David Eldridge, has achieved recertification with the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) as a criminal defense advocate. This board-certification is the highest honor an attorney can achieve and the only distinction awarded by non-profit organizations. Because the NBTA is dedicated to protecting the public’s ability to select exemplary attorneys, the list of qualifications for this certification is extensive and stringent. As such, only 3% of attorneys in the United States are board-certified.
Founded in 1977 and accredited by the American Bar Association, the NBTA establishes and promotes an objective set of standards for lawyers in America. The organization’s philosophy maintains that attorney certification programs advance both public interest and the legal profession. Board-certified trial attorneys have passed a rigorous evaluation process and demonstrated commitment to enriching their community of peers and consumers.
During this evaluation process, the NBTA screens every attorney for:
- Proper credentials
- Demonstration of extensive trial experience
- Judicial and peer references attesting to the attorney’s competence
- Continued legal education
- Proof of good standing
